A formula starts with a concern our dermatologists keep hearing about, not with an ingredient that is having a moment. We choose actives with published work behind them, name them on the pack, and keep the barrier supported while they do their job. If we cannot stand behind a claim, we drop the claim rather than soften the wording.
Nothing without a reason
An ingredient earns its place by doing something the formula actually needs, at a level where it can do it. Anything there only to read well on a label does not make the cut. That is why our lists run shorter than most, and why we will always tell you what each one is for.
